Orthodontic (Dental braces) treatment?

Orthodontic treatment, commonly known as dental braces, is a specialized field of dentistry focused on correcting dental and facial irregularities. Dental braces are orthodontic appliances used to align and straighten teeth, as well as to correct issues related to bite alignment. The treatment involves the careful application of brackets, wires, and other components that work in tandem to gradually shift teeth into their desired positions over time. Braces can address a variety of concerns, such as overcrowding, gaps between teeth, misaligned jaws, overbites, underbites, and crossbites.

The process typically begins with a comprehensive examination and diagnosis, during which the orthodontist develops a personalized treatment plan. This plan outlines the specific adjustments needed to achieve optimal alignment. Throughout the treatment duration, patients visit their orthodontist regularly for adjustments, during which the braces’ components are tightened or changed to guide teeth movement. Depending on the complexity of the case, orthodontic treatment can last anywhere from several months to a few years. The end result of orthodontic treatment is not only an improved smile and facial aesthetics but also enhanced oral health by creating a properly aligned bite, which reduces the risk of dental issues in the future. With advancements in orthodontic technology, options like clear aligners have become popular, offering a more discreet and convenient alternative to traditional braces for eligible candidates.

Moving orthodontic treatment : it is a form of treatment in which various moving devices are used to prevent problems that may occur as a result of bad habit (finger sucking, abnormal swallowing), to make room for permanent teeth or to correct simple dental malocclusion.
Fixed orthodontic treatment: braces that stick on the teeth, which are not removed during treatment, and wires that pass through these brackets are made. This treatment can be applied to individuals at any age who have healthy teeth and gums.

Orthodontic treatment time varies considerably depending on the type of malocclusion our, the type of treatment, the variety of apereylerinin used. Dental disorders can be treated with or without tooth extraction, this period varies between 1 and 2 years. The duration of skeletal-induced problems varies according to the age of the individual. In this type of treatment, the duration of treatment may increase to 3 years by following the growth and development period of the individual. This period is usually every 4-6 weeks and the necessary occlutmations are done on the wires. Causes of orthodontic problems Genetic (hereditary) irregularities Congenital abnormalities (cleft lip-palate)) After-use habits such as finger sucking, pen biting, atypical swallowing (insertion of the tongue between the teeth) , long-term use of bottles and false teats can cause problems in skeletal and dental structure. Early loss of milk teeth and large bruises that cause loss of matter in milk teeth may cause permanent riding problems. Teeth grinding or falls, bumps, such as trauma can be the cause of orthodontic disorders.
